Night Hawks Fall to No. 12 Campbellsville

Box Score GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Thomas University softball team slipped to 12th-ranked Campbellsville University (Ky.), 4-2, in the final day of the Gulf Shores Tournament on Sunday. CU plated three runs in the sixth inning.

The Night Hawks went to 16-5 on the season, while the Tigers improved to 10-5 on the year. TU topped the Tigers, 2-1, on Feb. 17 earlier this season.

TU had runners on first and third with two outs in the top of the seventh inning, but were unable to score.

Kaylee Smith went 2-for-2, while Kaitlyn Stoltz hit 2-for-3 with a run scored and Brittany Daniels hit 2-for-4.

Lauren West threw all six innings with two earned runs on six hits and struck out two in her first loss of the season.
