Night Hawks Split in Gulf Shores

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Thomas University softball team slipped to Columbia College (Mo.), 8-4, and topped Lyon College (Ark.), 4-0, on Saturday in the second day of the Gulf Shores Tournament.

The Night Hawks improved to 16-4 on the season. The Cougars improved to 8-2 on the year, while the Scots went to 10-9 on the season. TU plays the winner of Georgia Gwinnett and Campbellsville (Ky.) on Sunday at 10 a.m.

COLUMBIA

Camina Victoria went 3-for-3 with a run scored, while Brittany Daniels hit 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Jessica Reid pitched three innings with five runs on 10 hits, while Luana Imamura threw two innings with two runs on two hits and struck out one. Lauren West pitched the last innings of the game with one run on one hit.

West pitched her seventh complete game and fourth shutout of the season with no runs on two hits and struck out three, moving to 9-0 on the season.
