TU Cruises Past Warner 12-2

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Thomas University baseball team knocked off Warner University (Fla.), 12-2 in seven innings, on Friday at Jeff Sikes Field. Every player in the starting lineup had a hit in the game.

The Night Hawks went to 16-23, 4-9 in The Sun Conference, while the Royals went to 19-23, 3-9 in TSC. The two teams complete a three game series with a double header starting at noon on Saturday in Lake Wales, Fla.

Yovanny Peguero hit 2-for-3, including a grand slam, with six RBI's and two runs scored while, Jalbert Melo went 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Tanner Elsbernd went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI's, while Reed Melcolm hit 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI.

Jordan Martin completed back-to-back complete games, seven innings pitched, two runs, none earned, on five hits and struck out six.
