Night Hawks Split with Webber

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team split with 13th-ranked Webber International University (Fla.) on Saturday at Varnedoe Stadium. WIU took the first game, 7-4, while TU won the second game, 4-2.
 
The Night Hawks went to 14-22, 3-9 in The Sun Conference, while the Warriors went to 25-7, 8-4 in TSC. TU hosts Brewton-Parker University (Ga.) in a double header starting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Varnedoe Stadium.
 
GAME ONE
 
Jalbert Melo went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI, while Tanner Long hit 3-for-5 with an RBI. Gavin Murphy went 2-for-4.
 
David Wood suffered the loss on 5.2 innings pitched with four runs on 10 hits and struck out two.
