Night Hawks Soar Past Brewton-Parker

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team took down Brewton-Parker, 17-5 and 4-0, on Tuesday. TU combined for 20 hits during the day.

The Night Hawks improved to 7-6 on the season, while the Barons fell to 1-8 on the year. TU returns to conference play against Southeastern University (Fla.) 6 p.m. Friday in Lakeland, Fla.

GAME ONE
Taylor Westbrook went 1-for-2 with three runs scored and an RBI, while Wyatt Petrey hit 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Logan Place went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Jalbert Melo hit 3-for-6 with a run scored and an RBI.
 
Holden Alexander picked up the win on four innings pitched allowing no runs on three hits and struck out four.
