Fallin's Barbeque Postgame Report - Saint Thomas

THOMASVILLE, Ga. - Arianna Anderson tallied her fifth-career double-double Saturday afternoon with 12 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for the Night Hawks, but Saint Thomas (Fla.) turned 31 Thomas turnovers into 32 points en route to a 67-58 win in Sun Conference (TSC) action inside TU Gymnasium.

"I think we played hard, but we had a lot of turnovers," Night Hawk coach Myron Brown said. "We didn't shoot the ball well enough to win."

Seven of Anderson's 18 boards came on the offensive end. Kriza Allen finished with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting and three steals for Thomas (3-3, 1-3 TSC). De'Audra Copeland added nine points on a 4-of-7 effort from the field plus seven boards. Samantha Gilbert had eight points. Dymon Brown dished out a career-high seven assists.

Samara Auguste totaled 28 points for Saint Thomas (3-5, 3-0 TSC) to go along with seven rebounds and six steals. Katie Rienas added 12 points, six rebounds and five steals. Ebony Griffin had eight rebounds. 

The Bobcats shot just 32.9 percent (23-of-70) from the floor and 25 percent (6-of-24) from 3 but were 15-of-21 from the stripe. 

The Night Hawks shot 36.8 percent (25-of-68) from the field, 7-of-12 from the line and outscored the visitors 38-32 in the paint. The home team won the battle of the boards 58-40, including 24-16 on the offensive glass. The Night Hawks registered 22 fast break points.

In a back and forth affair that featured six ties and as many lead changes, an Alisha Clayton jumper gave Thomas a 45-44 edge with 7:35 left in the fourth quarter. However, the Bobcats countered with a 10-0 run, with eight points by Auguste, over the next 2:11 to seize control. 

The Night Hawks host Warner (Fla.) in league play Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. ET.
