MELBOURNE, Fla. - Thomas dropped an exhibition to Rollins (Fla.), ranked No. 17 in the latest NCAA Division IIÂ WBCAÂ Coaches' Poll, 94-44 on Saturday afternoon in the Veteran's Day Classic, played inside Florida Tech's Charles and Ruth Clemente Center.

Rollins (1-0) outscored Thomas 28-12 in the first quarter and never trailed in its season opener.
The Tars' Denise Daniels scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures. Jaylyn Harrison finished with 13 points. Julia Ingler added 12 points off the bench, while Jasmine Stone had 11. Carly McLendon pulled down 10 rebounds.
Kriza Allen recorded 13 points to lead the Night Hawks.
De'Audra Copeland and
Arianna Anderson followed up with nine and eight points, respectively.
Daycia Bandy had seven to lead all reserves.Â
Allen and Anderson each had two steals.
Rollins shot 56.1 percent (37-of-66) from the floor, 8-of-20 from deep and 12-of-16 from the free throw line.
Thomas opens Sun Conference play at Keiser (Fla.), which is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Division II Top 25 Poll, on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 5:30 p.m. ET.
