Samantha Gilbert scored a team-high 12 points off the bench in Thomas' 92-41 exhibition loss at Stetson on Friday afternoon inside the Edmunds Center. The contest was the second-straight exhibition for the Night Hawks against a NCAA Division I opponent from the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN).

Stetson (1-0) outscored Thomas 26-8 in the first quarter and never trailed in its season opener.
The Hatters' Kennedi Colclough and McKenna Beach each tallied a double-double. Colclough ended with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead five Hatters in double figures, while Beach pumped in 15 points and 10 assists. Brittney Chambers also had 15 points, and Michelle Pruitt and Megan Vincent scored 14 and 13, respectively. Pruitt scored 14 of her team's 24 bench points.
Gilbert was 2-of-4 from deep to go along with six rebounds.
Allayah Muhammad had six points off the bench, while
Arianna Anderson was 5-of-7 from the free throw line and totaled eight rebounds.
Kriza Allen dished out four assists and had two of the team's three steals.
Stetson shot 62.1 percent (36-of-58) from the floor and 81 percent (17-of-21) from the free throw line.
Thomas finished 14-of-21 from the charity stripe and dominated the offensive glass, outrebounding Stetson 15-8, with five coming from Gilbert.
The Night Hawks battle NCAA Division II member Rollins (Fla.) in the Veteran's Day Classic, hosted by Florida Tech, on Saturday in their third of four exhibitions this season. Tip-off is set for Noon ET.
