Night Hawks Take Care of Webber 105-82

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's basketball team dropped Webber International University (Fla.), 105-82, Thursday night at the TU Gymnasium. TU held the lead the entire game and extended its winning streak to four.

The Night Hawks improved to 9-4, 4-3 in The Sun Conference, while the Warriors fell to 6-12, 1-6 in TSC. TU hosts Johnson & Wales (Fla.) 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the TU Gymnasium.

Jalen Bonds and Katrell Myers led the Night Hawks with 17 points each, while Javoris Cooks and Willie Holloway led the team with six rebounds each. Tre' Ford and TJ Rines both provided five assists on the night. TU had six players score in double figures in the game.

The Night Hawks went on an 11-3 run in the first half and opened a 29-20 lead. The Warriors responded with a 7-0 run and cut the lead to 29-27. Rines knocked down a three-pointer that gave TU it's first double digit lead of the game at 38-28. Webber responded with another 7-0 run and slimmed the lead to 38-35.

The Night Hawks closed the first half on a 6-2 run and held a 45-37 lead at the break.

TU went on a 7-0 run early in the second half and opened up a 63-46 lead. The Night Hawks went on an 8-1 run and held a 95-71 lead, their largest of the game. TU closed the game with six free throws.

The Night Hawks held a 49-28 bench points and a 26-11 points off turnovers advantage while forcing 22 turnovers in the game.
