THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The No. 6 Thomas University men's soccer team topped Saint Thomas (Fla.), 2-1, in double overtime on Sunday at the TU Soccer Complex to remain undefeated on the season. The victory was the second-straight double overtime win for TU.

The Night Hawks improved to 8-0-1, 2-0-0 in The Sun Conference, while the Bobcats fell to 2-5-1, 1-1-0 in TSC. The Night Hawks continue conference play against Webber International University (Fla.) 2 p.m. Thursday at the TU Soccer Complex.

Billy Jeffery netted his second goal of the season in the 19th minute off a TU corner kick that was redirected by Jack Chambers. Jeffery has scored in back-to-back games for the Night Hawks.

Pablo Gill tied the game for the Bobcats in the 24th minute on a ball that Federico Moronell played behind the back line of the TU defense.

The game remained tied at the end of regulation and the first overtime period. In the 105th minute, the Night Hawks had a corner kick taken by Juan Figueroa. Chambers again redirected the cross back across the face of the goal that Jonathan Lopez finished for the game winner.

Lee Howarth collected two saves in goal for the Night Hawks.
