Night Hawks Split with Keiser

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University softball split with Keiser, lost 7-6 in game one and won 3-2 in game two, Sunday at Armory Field in the regular season finale.

The Night Hawks went to 19-20, 7-7 in The Sun Conference, while the Seahawks fell to 15-25, 3-11 on the season.

GAME ONE
Keiser racked up four runs in the first inning before Gaby Mora responded for TU with a homerun to left field.

The Seahawks registered three runs in the second inning and ended their scoring. Amber Davis singled to the left side and scored Kylie Rawlins that cut the Keiser lead to 7-2.

TU rallied in the sixth, in part to a three-run homerun by Rachel Hoeft.

Megan Withrow drew the loss on 1.2 innings pitched with seven runs on nine hits.

GAME TWO
The Night Hawks recorded back-to-back homeruns in the fourth inning by Kelsey Connolly and Chelsea Carter.

Keiser tied the game in the sixth inning off a homerun from Cassidy Miller. Michael Cooper jacked a homerun over the center field fence in the bottom half of the inning, which became the game-winning run.

Katie Lopes collected the win on 2.0 innings pitched with one run on one hit and struck out two.
