Box Score 2 AVE MARIA, Fla. – The Thomas University softball team completed the sweep of Ave Maria, 5-3 and 3-2 Sunday at AMU Softball Field.
Thomas (16-19, 4-6 TSC) went up 2-0 in the first inning courtesy of a
Rachel Hoeft 2 RBI double. Ave Maria (18-18, 4-8 TSC) responded by scoring a run in the third inning that cut the deficit to 2-1. The Lady Gyrenes took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth. Thomas responded with the equalizing run in the top of the sixth when senior

Ashley Chapman (5-9) pitched a complete nine innings, allowing seven hits and recorded eight strikeouts.

Katie Lopes in the middle of the third inning, allowing one hit and two strikeouts.
TU returns to action when they host Keiser University (14-22, 2-8 TSC) Friday, April 22nd, at Armory Field for Sun Conference doubleheader action. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
