TU Women's Basketball Finishes Regular Season at Warner

Angelo Pontello | Sports Information Intern | @apontello44

THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Thomas University women's basketball team will complete their 2015-2016 regular-season campaign in Lake Wales, Fla., as they battle Warner University on Saturday in their final Sun Conference tilt.

The Lady Night Hawks (13-12, 8-7 TSC) recently clinched a home game for the Sun Conference quarterfinal Tuesday thanks to a 62-55 victory over Webber International University.  Freshman Dymon Brown paved the way in TU's last contest, scoring 21 total points thanks to going five for ten on three-point attempts.  As they prepare for Warner, Thomas' coaching staff has considered resting some of the starters to avoid injuries.  However, the Hunter Green and White have an opportunity to top off their record-setting regular season with a win to finish with a winning conference record.

Thanks to Ave Maria defeating Florida Memorial, the Lady Royals (12-14, 6-9 TSC) have officially clinched the Sun Conference tournament's sixth and final spot thanks to their 72-70 upset win over Keiser.  Since Warner cannot advance any further in the standings, the team may also consider resting its starters.  WU's biggest specialty thus far has the steal; the Lady Royals are eleventh in NAIA Division II in total  steals per game (11.44).

Tipoff at the Turner Athletic Center is set for 2 p.m.
