TU Holds off Ave Maria 66-56

Box Score THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University women's basketball team outscored Ave Maria (Fla.) in three of the four quarters and came away with a 66-56 win on Saturday at the TU Gymnasium.

The Night Hawks went to 3-3, 1-1 in The Sun Conference, while the Gyrenes fell to 2-4, 0-2 in TSC. TU travels to NCAA Division I Troy University 6 p.m. Monday in Troy, Ala.

The Night Hawks had four players score double-figures led by J'Nyiah Daniels' 15 points. Kriza Allen provided 13 points, while Tess Wright scored 12. Micah Garvin produced 10 points.

Lauren Gillingham led Ave with 16 points, while Jasmine Bateman scored 11.

The Night Hawks outscored the Gyrenes 18-9 in the second quarter and held a 30-20 lead at halftime.
