TU Pulls Thrilling Overtime Win

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The 11th-ranked Thomas University men's soccer team collected a 2-1 overtime win over Johnson & Wales (Fla.) Thursday at the TU Soccer Complex. Jarrod Ingram scored both goals for TU.

The Night Hawks improved to 13-2-1, 6-1 in The Sun Conference, while the Wildcats fell to 6-3-1, 4-2 in TSC. TU plays its final home game of the season at noon on Saturday against Keiser University (Fla.) for senior day.

Gregory McDoom put JWU up early in the 4th minute with a ball that was played behind the TU defense. McDoom collected the ball, took a few dribbles and beat the Night Hawks goalie low to the left side.

Ingram scored the equalizer two minutes before halftime with an assist from Juan Figueroa. The game was knotted 1-1 at the halftime break.

Ingram scored the game winning goal less than five minutes into the first overtime period. The Night Hawks took a shot that was deflected by the JWU goalie then collected and scored by Ingram.

The Night Hawks outshot the Wildcats 21-12 in the game.

Lee Howarth generated two saves in goal for TU.
