THOMASVILLE, Ga. –  The Thomas University men's basketball team is still looking for its first Sun Conference victory of the season tonight after falling 82-66 to Florida Memorial.

What started off as a promising 37-36 lead in favor of the Night Hawks at the intermission, and showed all signs of potential towards head coach Brent Crews' first career TSC victory, all stopped midway through the second half of play when the Lions jumped out on a 12-2 run to begin the second frame.

With the 50-42 lead with just over 13 minutes left in the contest, the Night Hawks began a full-court press that FMU eluded on several occasion to run their lead to 64-50, at its height, with 6:13 left in regulation.

Thomas tried to force the Lions to make free-throws down the stretch going with the "Hack-a-Shaq" mentality, but once again Florida Memorial converted, picking up their second TSC victory of the season in the 82-66 win.

FMU's Devonte Byrd led all scorers on the night, recording a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  The Lions had two other players in double figures as Clive Smith recorded 16 points and Tymon Enwerama contributed 10.

Thomas was led by juniors Mike Lyons (13 pts., 4 rebs., 5 assts.) and Adonai Rogers (13 pts., 7 rebs., 2 blocks) and senior Ty Bull who scored a season high 10 points while bringing down five boards.

The Night Hawks return to action on Saturday, Jan. 9 when they look to pick up their first TSC victory of the season against #14 Keiser University (15-1, 3-0 TSC).  Last time out, Keiser defeated Johnson & Wales 77-73.  Tipoff from the TU Gymnasium is slated for 3:00 p.m.

7 – Game high total of rebounds by Tre' Ford and Adonai Rogers
13 – Points scored by TU's scoring leader Mike Lyons and Adonai Rogers
