MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Thomas University women's basketball team avenged an early season loss to the Lady Barons of Brewton-Parker tonight on the road as they rolled over BPC 73-58 to improve to 4-3 on the year.

While the first quarter favored the Lady Night Hawks with a 15-12 lead, Thomas would continue to widen the gap over the Lady Barons (3-7) to push a nine point, 36-27 advantage heading into the intermission.

The Lady Night Hawks narrowly outscored BPC 20-19 to open the second half pushing their lead to 10, 56-46, after three quarters of play. Behind the 25 point, 13 rebound performance by Sun Conference Player of the Week
Bra'shey Ali, Thomas went on to outscore Brewton-Parker 18-12 in the fourth quarter to capture the 73-58 victory. With tonight's performance, Ali picked up her sixth double-double in just seven games.

Tess Wright had another great performance scoring a season-high 17 points, reflecting her 17 point performance against Trinity Baptist this past Saturday.

Coretta Brown reflected on her team's victory, "We still have some things we have got to work on, but I'm pleased with the forward progress we are making."
Thomas (4-3) will be back in action on Wed., Dec. 2 as they return home to host Middle Georgia State University at the TU Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
