Two Lady Night Hawks received Sun Conference post season honors this evening at the 2014 TSC Softball Tournament Banquet hosted by the National Training Center.

Sophomore Alex VanWager was named to the First Team as a Designated Player. The native of West Palm Beach, Fla. is leading the Lady Night Hawks with a .423 batting average while driving in 14 runs.

Senior third baseman Summer Rose (Wilburn, Ga.) was named to the Honorable Mention list. Rose leads TU with 29 runs batted in and is third in hitting at .333.

Senior infielder Katelyn Baxley, senior pitcher Jessica Johnson and sophomore outfielder Danielle Lower were 3 of the 28 TSC Student Athletes named to the Academic All-Conference list. To receive the award nominees must have been enrolled for two full semesters or more in your University and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

TU, seeded #3, will open up play at the tourney tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., taking on #6 St. Thomas University.
