Box Score 2 Softball (19-18, 5-3) split a Saturday afternoon Sun Conference double header with the visiting St. Thomas University Bobcats (19-19, 4-7) on Senior Day at Armory Field.
In game one, the teams exchanged blank frames over the opening seven innings. St. Thomas would break through in the ninth, taking a 3-0 lead on a three run home run and taking on another run to make it 4-0. STU would set down the Lady Night Hawks in the bottom half of the inning to secure the 4-0 win. Freshman starting pitcher

Jessica Johnson were all honored by the coaching staff and players as they play their final home games at Armory Field. The six seniors will play their final home games in a double header on Friday April 18
th.
Thomas overcame a 4-1 game two deficit with six runs in the bottom of the fourth and Rose (8-6) blanked STU in the game's final three frames to wrap up the 7-4 come from behind win, collecting her eighth win of the season. Freshman right fielder
Brittany Daniels (1-3, R, 4 RBI, HR) had the big hit in the fourth, clearing the bases with her first career grand slam. Rose (2-3, R, 3 RBI, 2B, HR) drove in three runs with a solo home run in the third and a double in the six run fourth inning.
The Lady Night Hawks are back in action at Armory Field on Sunday in a TSC double header, against Northwood University, beginning at 11 a.m.
