WIU Tops TU Women’s Basketball in Regular Season Finale

Webber International University (13-11. 10-6) topped TU Women's Basketball (9-18, 5-11), 80-58, on Saturday afternoon in Babson Park, Fla. The game was the regular season finale for both teams.

WIU led from start to finish, shooting 53.8% from downtown and 44.4% from the field. Webber led by as much as 30 in the second half before wrapping up the 22 point victory. TU shot a dismal 31.7% from the field, knocking down only 19 of 60 attempts.

Thomas, with the loss, falls to the #8 overall seed in the 2014 Sun Conference Tournament and will face #1 and TSC Regular Season Champion St. Thomas University in the Quarter Final Round on Tuesday February 25th at 7PM in Miami Gardens, Fla.
