Women's Basketball (7-13, 3-6) fell to Florida Memorial University (1-15, 1-8), 75-58, last night in Miami Gardens, Fla. The win was first in Sun Conference action for FMU.

FMU took an early lead and held the advantage until the 12:54 mark of the first when TU tied the game at eight. Thomas played catch up the remainder of the half, falling behind by as many as eight points two different times. Down 33-25 at the break, the Lady night Hawks attempted to regroup but FMU had different plans. In the second Florida Memorial took control of the game by storming out of the locker room on a 19-3 run over the first six minutes of the half, opening up a 24 point advantage. After a TU basket slowed down the FMU hot streak, Florida Memorial knocked down a couple of more baskets to open their biggest lead of the game at 56-30. TU would get the deficit back into the teens but could not get any closer than sixteen and FMU cruised down the stretch.

TU will look to rebound on Saturday when they face St. Thomas University at 2PM, as they continue their two game South Florida road trip.
