Crawford (Chip) Battle retired from the State of Georgia after a 30-year career in law enforcement. He joined the faculty of Thomas University in 2005. Chip named the Division Chair/Program Director of Criminal Justice in 2007, which currently includes the Associate of Science in Law Enforcement, Bachelor of Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Justice Administration, Bachelor of Homeland Security and Bachelor of Data Information programs. He served the University from 2013 through 2021 as President of Academic Council/Curriculum Committee and was appointed to the position of Faculty Athletic Representative in 2022. Chip was the 2023 recipient of The Vulcan Materials Company Teaching Excellence Award for Thomas University.
