Edward Culpepper, Jr. is in his third season with Thomas Men’s Basketball as Assistant Coach and Head JV Coach. Prior to TU, Culpepper Jr. spent the last three seasons with Reinhardt University men’s basketball program, with his first two seasons as Assistant Coach and Head Reserve Coach. He served as the Associate Head Coach during his last season.
In 2018-19, Culpepper helped lead the Lowndes High School Boy’s basketball team to the Georgia 6A State Tournament. From spring to fall of 2019, he worked at numerous Nike basketball camps and worked as a skills development trainer for Elite Hoops Basketball based out of Atlanta. Culpepper served as an assistant on the Clark-Atlanta men’s basketball team in 2019-20, helping the Panthers to a first-place tie in the SIAC.
Culpepper is a graduate of Valdosta State and with a Bachelor of Science in Education (Health and Physical Education) and a minor in Healthcare Administration. In 2015-16, while completing his undergraduate degree at Valdosta State, he was a student assistant for the men’s basketball program. He has a Master of Science in Sport Administration and Leadership from Reinhardt University.
