Night Hawks Bounce Back at Warner

LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Night Hawks completed the season sweep over the Royals after a 73-70 win at Turner Athletic Center on Thursday evening.
 
In a game that saw nine lead changes and eight ties, the Night Hawks persevered with accurate shooting and winning the turnover margin. Armani Thomas called game with 1:06 left in regulation on a triple from a Je'hvonni Hogan pass which gave the Night Hawks a final lead.
 
The Night Hawks managed to the tie the game on a two-hand jam from Michael Smith to make the score 30-30 with 2:40 left to go in the half. Ryan Williams gave Thomas a brief advantage after a made jumper with just 2:04 to go in the first.
 
Down by two at the end of the first half Thomas made a three just 28 seconds into the second half to put the Night Hawks ahead. The Night Hawks saw a few more lead changes until the final tie with 1:43 left in the game tied at 70 s piece.
 
Jonathan Goldson paced the offense with a career high 25 points, seven rebounds, an assist, a block and two steals. Goldson shot 61.5 percent from the floor, 66.7 percent from beyond the arc and went perfect from the charity stripe. Smith had 13 points and two rebounds. Hogan had four points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Eli Curry led the team in assists with four, added in two rebounds and two points.
 
The Night Hawks return to action on Tuesday, November 11th at 7:30 PM as they open conference play against the ABAC Stallions in Tifton, Ga.
