BLUE MOUNTAIN, MS | The Thomas Night Hawks dropped a contest on the road, to Blue Mountain, on Saturday afternoon, 78-60. For Thomas, the loss keeps the Night Hawks winless in the month of February.
The Night Hawks scored the first bucket of the game, on a layup by
Jailin Lee. That would be the only lead of the game for the Night Hawks. The Night Hawks would go down 23 points by the end of the 1st half. Thomas was only able to muster up 15 points, in the half, led by Lee with four points at intermission.
Joshua Robertson and
Marko Mihajlovic had three points, each, at halftime.
Thomas outscored Blue Mountain, 45-40, in the second half, but it was not enough scoring to mount a comeback.
Keon Williams poured in 15 points off the bench, in the 2nd half, to spark the scoring for Thomas. Thomas trailed by as many as 29 points, in the half, before ultimately cutting the final deficit to 18 points.
The Thomas bench outscored the Blue Mountain bench, 32-18. Thomas only shot 20.0% in the 1st half, before finishing the game with 32.4% shooting. The Night Hawks only knocked down 20.0% from behind the arc. Thomas shot 76.9% from the charity stripe.
The Night Hawks were led in scoring, on the day, by their substitutes.
Keon Williams led the team with 17 points, and added five rebounds.
Joshua Robertson came off the bench to add 12 points and seven rebounds.
Jailin Lee also scored 12 points.
Deonta Jones led the Night Hawks with 11 rebounds.
