THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's basketball team defeated Webber International University, 79-63, Thursday on Senior Night at the TU Gymnasium.

Seven seniors were honored prior to the game:
Mohammed Abubakar,
Jordan Booker,
Corey Fulton,
Toriano Lewis, Keon Williams,
Shakari Williams and
Tim Williamson.

With the score tied at 35 at the half, Thomas ran away from WIU in the second stanza, outscoring the Warriors 44-28.

Booker led the Night Hawks with 17 points, hitting a trio of treys and draining all four of his free throws. He also had five assists, a block and a steal.

Abubakar was 5-of-5 from the field and hit 6-of-7 free throws on his way to 16 points. He added 14 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.

Keon Williams added 15 points and
Shakari Williams grabbed eight rebounds for the Night Hawks.

TU forced WIU into 15 turnovers and scored 19 points off of those miscues.

The Night Hawks (16-7, 9-5 Sun Conference) are still receiving votes in the NAIA National Coaches poll, as of Feb. 8.

Thomas wraps up the regular season with a pair of Sun Conference road games, facing Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla., on Feb. 11 then the final game of the regular season will be Saturday, Feb. 18 at College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Ga.
