Mobile, AL | The Thomas University men's basketball team (2-4,1-1) fell to the University of Mobile (5-1, 1-0), 65-102, in their first conference away game of the season.
The Rams entered the contest aggressively, and would lead by as much as 25 points in the first half. With ten minutes remaining in the first period of play, the Rams would lead 28-7. Momentum would shift in Thomas' favor momentarily in the form of a 7-0 run, which was sparked when Keon Williams connected on a three to give the Night Hawks a sign of life. Shortly after though, Mobile would find their offensive rhythm again and enter the half with a 53-28 lead.
Jarvis Brown would lead all Night Hawks with 9 points in the first half. Thomas would shoot 31% from the field, and 33% from three.
The second half would play out much like the first. Despite Thomas' effort, Mobile would maintain control of the game to take a 102-65 victory.
Jarvis Brown would lead the way for the Night Hawks with 17 points,
Keon Williams would shoot 60% from three to add 9 points, while
Deonta Jones would lead Thomas in assists (2) and rebounds (7).
As a team, Thomas shot 40% from three and 35% from the field.
NEXT UP: Thomas will travel to Hattiesburg, MS on Saturday to take on William Carey University. Tip off is set for 3:00 PM on November, 18th.
