Thomasville, GA | The Night Hawks opened conference action of Thursday, at the TU Gymnasium, by defeating the Middle Georgia State Knights, 87-82, in front of a packed house.
Thomas would see three Night Hawks in double digit scoring, with
Jailin Lee leading the way at 20 points.
Andre Lightbourne would add 16 and
Tyson Anderson would chip in 12, in route to victory.
Davin Miller would lead the team by clearing nine rebounds.
Deonta Jones and
Devin Baney would add six rebounds, each, to the team total. Lee would dish out five assists and Jones would add four assists.
Keon Williams would lead the team in steals with two and Baney would have five big blocks, on the night.
The Night Hawks shot 45.2% from the field, hitting 38.2% of their 3-pointers. Thomas only shot 64.3% from the charity stripe. The Thomas defense held Middle Georgia to 38.7% from the field and 19.0% from behind the arc. The Knight hit 66.7% of their free throws.
Thomas owned a 43-30 lead at the half. The Night Hawks held the Knights to 26.47% shooting in the first half, including 12.5% from behind the arc.
