Overall, the team was 11-of-28 (39.3%) from beyond the arc. TU has had a pair of games with 12 made 3-pointers: Dalton State and Keiser University.

Brown led all scorers with 18 points, adding three steals and a trio of assists.

Thomas jumped out to an early lead just four minutes into the game after Brown hit a jumper then a 3-pointer to give TU a 7-point edge. With four minutes left in the half, the Night Hawks led, 37-23, then held a 12-point margin at the half. Thomas held a double-digit lead for all but one minute of the second half, earning the 86-61 victory.

On the defensive end, the Night Hawks swiped 12 steals and forced Ave Maria into 23 turnovers. TU also held AMU to 26.3 percent (5-19) shooting from beyond the arc.
