JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Thomas University men's basketball team flew past Trinity Baptist College, 91-59, in non-conference action on Monday.

Thomas came out hot, taking the 6-0 lead, then going up by 10 just six minutes into the game. TU led by 24 at the half, 51-27. In the second half, TU led by as many as 36 with six minutes to play.

Thomas scored 42 points in the paint to TBC's 24, and notched 19 points off 13 Trinity Baptist turnovers. The Night Hawk defense held Trinity to just 23.3 percent (7-30) shooting from long range.

Jarvis Brown posted a game high 17 points, hitting all five of his charity shots.
Corey Fulton added 13 points for TU and
Jordan Booker dished out a game high eight assists.

Six Night Hawks grabbed at least five rebounds, led by nine from Keon Williams.
Taylor Mitchell pulled down seven, followed by
Shakari Williams (6),
Jarvis Brown (5) and four apiece from
Tim Williamson and
Mohammed Abubakar.

TU improves to 3-2 on the season while TBC dropped to 1-3.

Thomas is back in Sun Conference action Thursday, when the Night Hawks travel to Florida to face Ave Maria University.
