THOMASVILLE, Ga. – For the second, straight week, the Thomas University Men's basketball team struggled to score, as the Keiser Seahawks split the series with a 78-58 blowout win over the Night Hawks Saturday afternoon at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center.
Thomas (9-10, 3-6 SUN) had a poor shooting performance in the first half, failing to convert more than 31% from the field. After going up 20-14 with 9:49 remaining in the first half, TU's offense went flat, as Keiser (11-9, 5-5 SUN) pulled off its best stretch in program history with a 23-1 scoring run in a 9:05 span that led to a 37-21 lead at the half. The deficit was the largest of the season for the Night Hawks.
The second half did not fare to be any easier for the Green & White, allowing 41 second-half points to KU. Seahawks' Quinton Glaspie stepped up big in the absence of Antonio Spencer in the paint, scoring a career-high 30 points along with 12 rebounds.
Senior Guard
Tim Williamson was back to scoring double figures en route to another double-double on the season (11 pts., 10 reb.). Senior Guard
Toriano Lewis led all TU shooters with 14 points.
