Night Hawks Look to Rebound Against Lions

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's basketball team will finish its home stand Saturday, hosting Florida Memorial in The Sun Conference action.

The Night Hawks (8-14, 8-8 TSC) are now in a fight-or-flight position when it comes to hosting a conference quarterfinal game after a 79-69 defeat to St. Thomas last time out.  After the Hunter Green & White showed promise in a four-game win streak, the team has now dropped three of its last four contests.

Junior Guard Trint Bryant is coming off a fourth, straight game scoring double-digit figures, and is currently averaging just under 51% from the field this season.

FMU (6-15, 6-12 TSC) has a similar game plan to that of its Miami Gardens counterpart (St. Thomas), featuring a rebounding offense that leads TSC (40.3 a game) led by Mubashar Ali (10.7 boards a game).  Ali's 7'6 frame contributes to FMU's point production, averaging 15.4 points a game and shooting over 53% from the field.  Defensively, the Lions lead the conference in blocked shots (3.9), a 23rd best mark in NAIA. Individually, Ali leads TSC individually and is 14th in NAIA in blocks a game (1.9).

Thomas won the previous contest against Florida Memorial 78-70 earlier this season.

Tipoff against the Lions is set for 2 p.m.  Fans can follow the live action through the links below:
