Thomas Looks to Give RV Faulkner Retribution

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's basketball team will wrap up its countable, non-conference schedule at home Saturday as the Night Hawks host RV Faulkner Saturday to complete its regular-season series against the Eagles.

TU (6-8, 1-4 SUN) will now look to snap a three-game skid after dropping a pair of SUN contests in Miami Gardens last time out.  The previous week saw a different Night Hawks' strategy, as Fifth-Year Forward Desean Enzor was out for the last three games.  The Tallahassee, Fla. native's absence in the paint could not have come at a worse time, as the Green & White played against arguably the two biggest, physical teams SUN has to offer.

One of the Night Hawks' biggest tasks heading into Saturday's contest is to improve its early second half play; in the last three games, TU led at the half twice before opponent scoring runs led to permanent leads Thomas could not overcome.

Senior Guard Tim Williamson has now extended his tremendous scoring poise to eight games.  Since November 15th, the native of Augusta, Ga. has averaged 15.9 points a game and 49.5% from the field.

Since its win over Thomas earlier this season, Faulkner (9-2, 1-1 SSAC) only had #5 Talladega College on its slate last week, falling to its newly-conference rival 66-57 that snapped a seven-game win streak on the season and a 29-game win streak at the Tine W. Davis Gymnasium.

C.J. Hines continues to do it all for FLK, leading the Eagles in virtually every stat category.  Hines heads into the Rose City averaging 17.7 points, 9.3 boards, 2.9 assists, 2.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks a contest.  The Freshman also holds the Most 3-Ptrs. made on the team (27).  Isaiah Brooks currently holds Faulkner's best shooting percentage from the floor (.643).

TU is still in search of its first program win over the Eagles, as FLK extends the overall series lead to 5-0 lead after recently defeating Thomas 84-75.

Tipoff at TU Gymnasium is set for 2 p.m., as Angelo Pontello and Nick Pope will have the call of the game.  Fans can follow the live action by accessing the links below:
