THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's basketball team can only wait to return to the court Thursday night, as the team hits the road to take on Florida Memorial in another big The Sun Conference matchup.
Thomas (2-9, 2-3 TSC) has put behind them a game that had a controversial finish, and is ready to get back on track and play ball. The Night Hawks are led by Junior Guard
Jordan Booker, who leads the team in Scoring (15.27 PPG), Assists (5.36 a game), and Steals (4.36 a game). Junior Guard
Trint Bryant averages 13.1 points a game, shooting 52.6% from the field.
Florida Memorial (3-6, 3-3 TSC) comes off a Monday night 69-65 loss to Keiser, in which Muhammad Gilchrist broke out scoring 20 points. Senior Guard Sam Mack Jr. leads the Lions in Scoring (15.1 PPG) while Senior Forward Mubashar Ali is nearly averaging a double-double on the season, putting up 10.8 points and 9.6 boards. While FMU may average the fewest points scored in The Sun Conference (68.56), the team makes up for it on defense. The Lions are one of two teams in TSC giving up less than 40% of shots from the field and boast a 31.4% 3-Pt. Defense Percentage (third in TSC). The Orange & Blue is a physical team that averages the conference's second-highest Team Fouls per Game (21.67).
