Enzor’s Clutch Fadeaway Jumper Clinches Crucial TSC Win

Angelo Pontello | Sports Information Director | @apontello44

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Sun Conference's Game of the Week did not disappoint, as the contest remained within single-digits the entire 40 minutes, but a clutch, fadeaway jumper for the ages made by Senior Forward Desean Enzor helped the Night Hawks to a 68-64 win Thursday night, secured with free throws to grab back-to-back conferences wins and improve the team's TSC record back to .500.

TU (5-11, 5-5 TSC) shot over 48% from the field, but was shut down from long range (20%) the entire night.  Shots from the charity stripe ended up being the difference in an otherwise tight contest, converting 14 of its 17 shots as Coastal Georgia (7-7, 5-6 TSC) converted 50% from the free throw line.  The Night Hawks were held to the team's lowest Steals total in a game with four.

For the fourth time this season, Junior Guard Trint Bryant led the team in scoring, recording 16 points and grabbing four boards.  Desean Enzor was one rebound shy of securing a double-double, finishing the night with ten points.  Junior Guard Jordan Booker tallied 14 points and seven boards, shooting 50% from the field.

1st Half (CCGA 34, TU 33)

  • Junior Guard Toriano Lewis scored seven of his points during TU's scoring run
  • Thomas shot just under 52% from the field

2nd Half (TU 68, CCGA 64)
  • The Hunter Green & White's 3-Pt. Defense limited CCGA's long-range attack to two Made 3-Ptrs.
  • The largest lead in the half from either side was five points
