Shaquille Holley recorded 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds, three steals and a block to led Thomas University in the Night Hawks' 81-60 loss to Florida Memorial University Saturday at the FMU Wellness Center.
Holley was 5-8 from the field, hitting both of his attempts from long range for Thomas, which dropped to 6-18 overall and 3-13 in the Sun Conference.
Thomas led, 38-34, at the half, but was outscored 47-22 in the second half to take the loss. TU held the one point advantage with 12:35 left in the game, but a fastbreak layup gave the Lions the 47-46 lead, an edge they would never relinquish.
Daniel Merrius added 11 points and three rebounds for TU while
Nebojsa Mickic pulled down five rebounds and scored eight points.
TU next faces Warner University in Lake Wales, Fla., on Feb. 20, then ends the regular season Feb. 22 against Webber International at 4 p.m. in the TU Gymnasium.
