MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On a day filled with shooting woes and bad bounces, the Thomas University Men's basketball team was defeated 91-60 at the hands of #13 Lousiana State University at Alexandria Saturday afternoon.
The Night Hawks (2-7, 2-1 TSC) suffered its worst defeat yet of the 2020-21 season, on a day where LSUA (5-2) saw its biggest turnaround of the weekend after just sliding by with four-point wins Friday and Saturday. The Generals shot over 54% from the field and 48% outside the arch, while TU shot 31.4% from the field and 30.8% long range.
The Hunter Green & White tallied its most rebounds in a game (41). For the first time this season, TU recorded double-digit offensive boards in a game with 15.
Redshirt Sophomore Guard Keon Williams led all Night Hawks in Points (14) and recorded seven boards. For the third, consecutive game, Junior Guard
Jordan Booker picked up six steals in a game, as the Powder Springs, Ga. native also scored eight points while recording six boards and three assists.
Thomas resumes The Sun Conference action Thursday, December 3, as the team hosts the last remaining perfect team in the conference in Ave Maria University. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
