Box Score MELBOURNE, Fla. – Joshua Scott went 3-for-6 from downtown in Thomas University's 83-55 loss to Barry University Friday at the Florida Tech Winter Classic held in the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center. 

Scott was 6-of-10 from the field and hit his only free throw attempt to lead TU with 16 points. He also had six rebounds, three assists and a steal. 

Thomas took an early 6-point lead just three minutes into the game, but Barry battled back to earn a 3-point edge at the half. Then TU was outscored 50-25 in the second period to take the 83-55 non-conference loss. 

Daniel Merrius added a pair of 3-pointers on his way to 10 points. Quante Smith added 11 points and six rebounds, and tallied three blocks for the second-straight game. 

TU next faces tournament host Florida Tech at 6 p.m. Saturday.
