PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Thomas University men's basketball snapped its four-game losing streak Sunday afternoon with a 72-63 win over Carver College in the Battle at the Beach.
Thomas fell behind, 35-25, in the first half, but outscored Carver, 47-28, in the second period to take home the win.
The Night Hawks improve to 4-7 overall while Carver falls to 1-12.
TU drained 45.2 percent (28-of-62) from the field and hit 86.7 percent (13-of-15) at the line. TU outrebounded Carver 36-28 and forced Carver into 21 turnovers.
Tristan Harris scored 11 points and pulled down three rebounds while
Joshua Scott netted 10 points and recorded five rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Shaquille Holley had eight points and eight rebounds along with two steals and a block.
Thomas hits the road Dec. 5 to face Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla., then plays at Johnson & Wales Dec. 7 in Sun Conference action.
