COCHRAN, Ga. – Thomas University's
Kadeem Webb knocked down a trio of 3-pointers in the Night Hawks' 68-59 loss to Middle Georgia State University Friday at the Paul Thigpen Tournament.
Webb was 3-for-5 from long range on his way to nine points.
Daniel Merrius co-led the Night Hawks with nine points.
Quante Smith grabbed a team high six rebounds, while
Sheldon Hendrix dished out four assists.
TU trailed, 34-30, at the half, then was outscored 34-29 in the second period to take the loss.
Thomas knocked down 44.2 percent (23-52) of its shots from the field and went 10-of-21 (47.6%) from long range while holding MGA to 39.1 percent (25-64) from the field and 29.2 percent (7-24) from distance.
The Night Hawks are back in action tomorrow, facing Brewton-Parker College (Ga.) at 2 p.m.
