Thomas splits double dual meet

VALLEY, Ala. - Thomas defeated Life (Ga.), 72-63, but lost at Point (Ga.), 105-82, on Saturday afternoon inside Valley Community Center.

"We won numerous events and performed well in the pool today," Night Hawk coach Malcolm Hosford said. 

Thomas' Jamie Haught won the 1,000 freestyle in a time of 11:42.82 and 500 freestyle in 5:47.26. Kiana Ocasio-Molina took the top spot in the 200 backstroke in 2:21.86 and 200 individual medley in 2:28.25. Marien Rincon Medina finished first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:47.75. 

The Night Hawks' Haley Helms took second in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:24.75 and 50 freestyle in 29.12 seconds. 

The 400 freestyle relay team of Rincon Medina, Haught, Helms and Ocasio-Molina won the event in 4:04.34.

Thomas travels to No. 2 Keiser (Fla.) for a dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. ET.
