THOMASVILLE, Ga. - JaVoris Cooks finished with 19 points for the Night Hawks, but No. 22 Saint Thomas (Fla.) shot 14-of-15 from the free throw line in the second half to come away with an 85-72 win over Thomas on Saturday afternoon in Sun Conference (TSC) action inside TU Gymnasium.

"As a team, we didn't execute that well, and I think it really showed," Cooks said.

Trailing by seven, Thomas (4-6, 1-3 TSC) used a 9-0 run to take its first lead, 16-14, following an Ivan Tomic jumper at the 13:21 mark of the first half, but Saint Thomas (6-2, 3-0 TSC) took a 33-30 lead into halftime after a Khalil Williams jumper. Williams scored six of his team's final nine points in the period and finished the game with 17 on 8-of-13 shooting.

Leading 46-42 with 11:56 remaining in the game, the Bobcats used a 14-5 spurt over the next 4:27 to open up a 13-point advantage on a Fotios Malelis 3-pointer, and the visitors led by double digits during the final 6:15.

Kamil Brown led five Bobcats in double figures with 19 points. Malelis and Tim Sada each chipped in 13.

Williams was one of two players off the bench in double figures. Antoine Joe had 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from deep.

Cooks was 6-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range, to go along with seven rebounds. Keion Peoples and Jalen Bonds each scored 14 points off the bench. Bonds also had eight rebounds, including six on the offensive glass.

Saint Thomas shot 48.4 percent (30-of-62) from the floor, 10-of-25 from beyond the arc and 15-of-17 from the line.

Thomas shot 45 percent (27-of-60) from the field, 8-of-25 from 3-point range and 10-of-17 from the charity stripe. 

Each team shot 51.6 percent (16-of-31) overall in the final 20 minutes.

The Night Hawks held an edge in rebounds (37-35), points in the paint (34-24), points off turnovers (17-10), second chance points (16-12) and bench scoring (41-29). 

Thomas hosts Warner (Fla.) in league play Saturday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m. ET.
