Johnnel Ginnie finished with a game-high 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting and a 7-of-9 effort from the charity stripe to lead four double-figure scorers in the win.
Keion Peoples added 13 points, while
Javoris Cooks and
Jerodd Blount had 11 and 10, respectively.
Willie Holloway contributed nine rebounds, while Blount added seven.
Thomas shot 47.5 percent (28-of-59) from the floor and 25-of-33 from the line.
The Night Hawks outscored Virgin Islands in the paint, 40-12, and won the battle on the boards, 49-31.

Adonai Rogers at the 16:47 mark of the first half on a trey to become the school's all-time leading scorer.
COOKS SURPASSES 1,000 POINTS
Also on Oct. 27, Cooks became the program's first member of the 1,000-point club following two made free throws with 1:13 left in the second half. He now has 1,005 career points.
TSC PREDICTION
Thomas has been picked to finish sixth in the 2017-18 Sun Conference (TSC) Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced Oct. 19. The Night Hawks earned 44 points.
