THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Thomas University men's basketball team travels to Lake Wales, Fla., looking to return to their winning ways in their regular season and Sun Conference finale against Warner University on Saturday afternoon.
Thomas (12-16, 6-9 TSC) has secured a spot in the Sun Conference Tournament but on Wednesday evening blew a chance to clinch the 5
th seed when Webber International University shocked them with a 83-80 victory, after holding an 18-point lead at the half. A win for the Night Hawks on Saturday will secure #5 seed and a match-up in Miami Gardens, Fla. against St. Thomas University.
Warner (21-6, 12-3 TSC) comes off a tough loss to Keiser 92-89 in overtime, which eliminated the Royals' chances of hosting the Sun Conference's Final Four. With WU now locked in as the #2 seed and receiving a bye into the conference tournament's Final Four, their regular season finale will not impact their record.
Tipoff at the Turner Athletic Center is scheduled for 4 p.m.
