BABSON PARK, Fla. – Behind freshman
Jalen Bonds' first career double-double (21 points, 10 rebounds), the Thomas University men's basketball team picked up their first Sun Conference victory of the season as they thumped Webber International 99-77.

The Night Hawks (7-11, 1-4 TSC) had a dominating day on offense with five players recording double digits. Following Bonds,
Javoris Cooks and
Mike Lyons also turned in key performances for the Night Hawks netting 20 and 19 points, respectively. Lyons narrowly missed a double-double, picking up nine rebounds on the afternoon.Â

Thomas, who opened the game on an 8-2 run, led the Warriors (7-13, 1-6 TSC) at the half going up 48-40. The Night Hawks continued their dominating start into the second half, reaching a game height lead of 24 points, 95-71, with just under 90 seconds remaining in the contest.

The tale of the tape was found in Thomas' defense as they forced 17 turnovers by the Warriors and a 43-percent field goal percentage throughout the contest Offensively, the Night Hawks turned in their best shooting performance of the season shooting 53-percent from the field and 62-percent from behind the arch.

For the effort, the Night Hawks were awarded the 99-77 victory, giving head coach
Brent Crews his first Sun Conference win as a head coach.Â
The Night Hawks return to action on Thursday, Jan. 21, in North Miami, Fla., where they face off with Johnson & Wales. Â Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
