THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's basketball team continues their central Florida tour as its next stop lands in Babson Park, Fla., where they face Webber International on Saturday afternoon.

The Night Hawks (6-11, 0-4 TSC) have a golden opportunity to pick up their first Sun Conference victory against a team they hold an all-time 3-1 record against. In order for Thomas to build towards a potential victory, they will need to continue to feed the ball to their point producers, Javoris Cooks (13.94 points per game), Adonai Rogers (12.82), and Mike Lyons (10.75).  The squad is currently struggling with offensive efficiency and consistency, shooting just a mere 36.7 percent from the field, 28 percent from behind the arch, and 62.6 percent from the charity stripe.  Opponents have outscored Thomas 1279-1159 this season, where the team is averaging just 68.13 points a game.  Head coach Brent Crews is looking to gel the transition from practice to game time and will push for the squad's first league victory Saturday.

Webber International (7-12, 1-5 TSC) has struggled so far this season to find a consistent tempo heading into each contest.  As a result, Webber has given up 19.59 turnovers a game, ranking them as the worst in the Sun Conference in that category.  Comparatively, Webber looks to snap a seven-game losing streak with a win over Thomas. Daniel Coffey leads the Warriors in scoring, averaging 15.33 ppg., while Sam Auguste leads in assists per game (2.94).  Defensively, Giovanni Poitier has become a thief of sorts, racking up 26 steals.

A big advantage the Warriors possess is its blocking game. WIU ranks fourth in NAIA Division II in both total team blocks (94) and blocks per game (5.22). The Babson Park-based school also boasts one of the NAIA Division II's top ten blockers on its roster, Dewaine Lyals.  Lyals ranks second in NAIA DII with 2.59 blocks per game.

Tipoff at the Sabbagh Athletic Center is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
