much bigger team, but there are not many rebounds to be had when you we shot 58 percent from the floor. Simply put, our guys made shots!"
The Hunter Green and White had four in double figures. Senior forward
Alan Love led the way for the Night Hawks scoring 17 points while bring down six boards. Classmate
Max Grace had a break out performance scoring 15 while collecting four steals, three assists, and four rebounds. Both
Adonai Rogers and
Rodney Sturkie netted 13 and dished out three assists.
Cox continued, "Most importantly tonight, we raised more money in our
NAIA Suits and Sneakers fight against cancer campaign. I want to thank our fans again. They were truly the sixth man tonight. We'll lick our wounds and get back in the weight room to develop more in the morning."
The Night Hawks return to action on Saturday, Jan. 24 when they host Sun Conference rival Ave Maria University (Fla.) at the TU Gymnasium. This game is the third and final game where NAIA coaches will participate in the annual Coaches vs. Cancer program. Tipoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
