Men's Basketball (16-11, 9-8) dropped Webber International University (9-20, 5-13), 84-74, on Saturday afternoon in Babson Park, Fla.

Webber led the opening half until TU junior forward Rodney Sturkie (10 points) knocked down a three pointer, with 12:32 to play, to give TU a one point lead. Over the next twenty two seconds, WIU would tie the game on a free throw and knock down a three pointer to retake the lead and eventually stretched their advantage to nine at the 9:43 mark. A 14-6 run by the Night Hawks, capped by a lay-up off the fingers of senior forward Justyn Watkins (16 points), would pull them ahead by one with 5:59 to go. Thomas would lead the remainder of the half, taking a 42-40 lead into the locker room.

TU stretched their lead to four, in the opening of the second, before Webber tied the game 1:07 in. The teams exchanged baskets and leads until a run by WIU put them ahead by seven with 9:54 to play. Another TU run would notch the game at 64 with 6:10 remaining. After the teams, once again, exchanged buckets and leads, freshman guard Trey Gosier (14 points) knocked down two free throws to give TU a 68-66 advantage with 4:25 to go. The Night Hawks would lead the rest of the way to seal the ten point victory.

The Night Hawks will wrap up their inaugural regular season on Monday at 7PM when they host #13 Northwood University at the TU Gymnasium.
