Night Hawks' Streak Snapped by BPC

Box Score
MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Thomas University men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the 2014-2015 season tonight at Brewton-Parker College snapping its nine game winning streak.  While the Night Hawks were at an even 31-31 at the intermission, the Barons offense overpowered TU winning 74-61.

"Tonight was a tough loss. Going undefeated was never our goal at the beginning of season," stated head coach Stephen Cox.  "We had some foul trouble, and we didn't rebound the basketball very well.  When you mix that with not taking care of ball on offense that is never a good recipe for success. It's good to experience a loss sometime. Now, we just have to respond the right way moving forward."

Thomas drops to 9-1, 1-0 in TSC play, on the season while Brewton-Parker improves to 8-1.

The Night Hawks return to the court on Saturday, Dec. 6 when they travel to Boiling Springs, N.C., to face NCAA Division foe Gardner-Webb University. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
