Box Score The Night Hawks (8-7, 1-4) dropped their fourth game in a row, falling 100-79 to NAIA #11 Northwoood University (13-3, 4-1).
TU had a hard time getting started, scoring only 3 points over the first
6:30 of the game. Thomas doubled its points in a three point play by senior
Justyn Watkins when he was fouled on a jump shot. Northwood kept control of the first half only allowing TU to trim the game to a five point margin with
8:22 left in the half.
The second half did not get much better for TU as Notthwood opened a 10 point deficit that TU was never able to cut down. The men's basketball team kept it around 10 points for the first 10 minutes of the second half. Northwood pulled away late in the half to close out the 21 point win.
Watkins finished the game with 31. The only other Night Hawk to score in double digits was freshman guard
Trey Gosier who wrapped up the day with 16 points, 4 steals, and 4 assist.
Thomas will be back in action
on Wednesday January 15th at the TU Gymnasium when they host Ave Maria University in a 7:30pm tipoff.
